AccountDelete My Account
This page explains how to delete your ExamAtlas account and what happens to your data. You don't need to be logged in, or have the app installed, to read it.
How to delete your account
- Open ExamAtlas (app or website) and log in.
- Go to Settings → Delete Account.
- Confirm the deletion when prompted. Your account is closed immediately and you are logged out on every device.
Can't log in, or don't have access to the app anymore? Email privacy@examatlas.com from the email address on your account and we'll delete it for you. We aim to complete these within 7 business days, and requests made this way erase all your data at once instead of after 30 days.
Removed immediately
As soon as you confirm:
- Your ability to log in. The account is closed and every logged-in session ends.
- Your name, email address, phone and WhatsApp number, and password. They are replaced with a placeholder that doesn't identify you.
- Your profile details: target exams and papers, target exam date, reservation category, gender and PwD details, state, and consent choices.
- Your newsletter and WhatsApp/email update subscriptions, your sign-up record and any pending login codes. You won't get any more messages from us.
Erased within 30 days
Everything else stored with your account is permanently erased within 30 days of you deleting it:
- Your test attempts: every answer, score, result, rank entry and warning.
- Your progress data: topic mastery, readiness, study plans and practice sets.
- Your enrolled test series, practice tests, ebooks and bundles. Access ends when you delete the account.
- Your AI Mentor and AI Solver conversations.
- Questions you reported and feedback you gave on tests.
- Your comments (with the replies under them) and your likes.
- Your notification history and the record of pages you visited while logged in.
Until then this data stays on our servers, linked only to an internal account number, not to your name or contact details. It cannot be restored.
If you come back
- A deleted account can't be restored, even within the 30 days.
- If you sign up again with the same phone number or email, you get a new, empty account. Earlier tests, progress and purchases do not carry over.
What we keep, and why
As explained in our Privacy Policy (Section 5, Data Retention), a few records are kept after your account is erased. None of them contain your name, email or phone number:
- Payment records: order and payment ID, amount, date, the item bought, and any refund. Kept for 8 years from the payment date, as required by Indian tax and accounting law, then deleted. Our payment provider, Razorpay, keeps its own record of the payment under its privacy policy.
- Question statistics: running totals for each question, such as how many students answered it correctly and the average time taken. Your answers are added into these totals, which are not linked to any person and can't be separated out again.
- Server logs: technical request logs (an internal account number, the page or API called, and the time) are kept by our hosting provider for up to 30 days.
