Delete My Account
This page explains how to delete your ExamAtlas account and what happens to your data. You don't need to be logged in, or have the app installed, to read it.
How to delete your account
- Open ExamAtlas (app or website) and log in.
- Go to Settings → Danger Zone → Delete Account.
- Confirm the deletion when prompted. Your account is deactivated immediately and cannot be logged back into.
Can't log in, or don't have access to the app anymore? Email privacy@examatlas.com from the email address on your account and we'll process the deletion for you. We aim to complete these within 7 business days.
What gets deleted
- Your name, email address, and phone number are permanently removed and replaced with a non-identifying placeholder.
- Your profile details — target exam(s), category, reservation status, and consent preferences.
- Your saved avatar and notification preferences.
- Your ability to log in — the account is deactivated the moment deletion is confirmed.
What we retain, and why
As explained in our Privacy Policy (Section 5, Data Retention), a small amount of data is kept even after account deletion, disconnected from your identity wherever possible:
- Payment and transaction records — required under Indian tax and financial-recordkeeping law.
- Aggregated, anonymised test performance data — used only in platform-wide statistics, never to identify you.
