The Defence Acquisition Council, chaired by the Defence Minister, granted Acceptance of Necessity to proposals worth about ₹1,10,000 crore on 8 September, with roughly 98 per cent to be sourced from Indian industry. The list covers CBRN reconnaissance vehicles, self-propelled mechanical mine layers, Advanced Light Helicopters and the Sarvatra bridge system for the Army, Arudhra radars and indigenous marine gas turbines for the Navy, and a Ground-Based Multi-Purpose Jammer for the Air Force. The Jharkhand High Court, with Justice Deepak Roshan hearing the matter, stayed the state government's order cancelling appointments made through JSSC-CGL (Advertisement No. 10/2023), giving interim relief to 99 appointed candidates on 8 September 2026. The state and JSSC must file replies by 15 September. The cancellation came from an 18 August 2026 order that scrapped 22 exams, suspended 6 and put 17 under scrutiny after a CID probe.
