Why Your Raw Score Is Not Your Final Score
The CBT is running across 48 shifts. No two shifts can be identical in difficulty, so RRB applies normalisation before preparing the merit list.
Normalisation adjusts your raw marks against the difficulty of your specific shift. A candidate who scored 72 in a genuinely tough evening shift may end up with a higher normalised score than someone who scored 75 in an easier morning shift. You cannot game this and you cannot calculate it precisely in advance.
