The last 24 hours gave you three things worth memorising: the Asian Games opened in Japan, the Cabinet's EPFO wage ceiling decision started taking effect, and Bihar's new government put a hard November deadline on panchayat repair work. All three are standard question material.
Every fact below carries the exam tag it matters most for. Read the tag first, then the fact. If you are preparing for BPSC, BSSC, Bihar Police, JSSC or JPSC, jump to the Bihar and Jharkhand section, but do not skip Economy and Banking, because that is where SSC CGL and IBPS overlap this week.

One practical note before you close this page. The Asian Games run to 4 October, which means sports questions will keep changing every single day for the next two weeks. Do not try to memorise medal counts now. Keep a running one-page list of India's gold medallists and revise it once at the end of the Games.
