The hidden curriculum
Alongside the written curriculum runs the hidden curriculum — everything a school teaches without listing it. Who is chosen as monitor, who cleans the classroom, which language is corrected, whose festival is celebrated, how a teacher speaks to a poor child. NCF 2005 asks teachers to examine this deliberately, because it teaches values more effectively than any lesson does.

Why a teacher must keep them separate
