Fillers
A filler question gives a sentence with one or two blanks and asks which option completes it. Read the whole sentence first and identify the connector, because words such as but, although and because fix whether the missing word should agree with or oppose the rest of the sentence.
Use the connector to fix the direction

Fix the direction from the connector before looking at the options
Double blank questions
For two blanks, solve the easier blank first and use it to eliminate. If an option fails on one blank it fails entirely, so there is no need to test both blanks in every option. This usually cuts the work in half.
Grammar as a filter
Before considering meaning, check whether the option fits grammatically: the right part of speech, the right form after a preposition, and the right number. A word that cannot fit grammatically can be rejected without thinking about its meaning at all.
Words that look similar
Options in filler questions are often near-synonyms that differ in the company they keep. A word may be right in meaning but wrong in usage: one commits a crime, makes a mistake, does a favour and takes a decision, and swapping those verbs produces an option that reads almost correctly. When two options both fit the meaning, choose the one whose usual partner appears in the sentence.
Solved examples
Example 1. Although he was tired, he blank working. The connector signals contrast, so the answer is a word such as continued, not stopped.
Example 2. She could not attend the meeting blank she was unwell. The relation is cause, so the answer is because.
Example 3. He is blank in mathematics blank he finds physics difficult. The first blank needs a positive word and the connector must show contrast, giving strong and but.
Example 4. Unless you blank hard, you will not succeed. Unless already carries a negative sense, so the blank takes a plain positive verb: work.

Exam pointer — Fillers give 1 to 2 questions per shift and are among the fastest in the English section at 15 seconds each, because the connector usually decides the answer before the options are read. The double-blank version takes slightly longer but yields to the same method.

दो blank वाले सवाल
दो blank हों तो आसान blank पहले हल करो और उसी से options काटो। अगर कोई option एक blank पर फेल हो जाता है तो वह पूरा ही फेल है, इसलिए हर option में दोनों blank जाँचने की ज़रूरत नहीं। इससे आम तौर पर आधी मेहनत बच जाती है।
