Below are 20 verified facts from the last 24 hours, each with the exams it actually matters for. Four tables, and at the end a link to the 15-question quiz built only from this material. Read the facts once, then test yourself without scrolling back.

Practise today's facts

These 20 facts are set as a 15-question objective quiz on ExamAtlas, with four options, the answer and a one-line reason for each. The quiz is tuned slightly above the real paper, which is the point. Attempt it before you read the facts a second time, because recall under pressure is what the exam actually tests.

The quiz is weighted the way the news fell: four questions on the Cabinet decisions, three on economy and reports, three on defence and science, two on sports and awards, and the rest on days and firsts. If you drop marks on the number-heavy ones, that is a sign to revise the scheme figures rather than the names.

Before you close this page

Two honest flags. The India growth figure in the IMF outlook, the BMI revision and the Coast Guard helicopter induction came from news reports rather than a primary release, so they are marked for verification. Everything on the defence contracts, the Cabinet decisions and the PLFS number traces back to official sources.

One habit worth building: do not just read 20 facts, write down the 6 numbers from today that a paper could twist. Rs 53,428 crore, 78 days, Rs 4,106 crore, 1,186 posts, 5.0%, 40%. Numbers are where candidates lose marks, not names.
