- Bihar Police SI Mains cancelled: BPSSC scrapped the Sub-Inspector Mains on 23 September 2026 for 1,799 Daroga posts, affecting 35,857 shortlisted candidates. The exam had been held on 27 May 2026 in two shifts. Reported triggers include 301 candidates clearing in consecutive rows across 79 centres, OMR sheets circulating online, and an FIR against a solver syndicate at Rampur police station in Gaya. - Patna protests and a reforms committee: aspirants marched in Patna on 15 September 2026 over alleged irregularities in the Bihar SI and 70th BPSC exams.
