Indian Railways: History, Zones and Organisation

Every RRB paper carries a few railway questions, and the candidate is applying to join the same organisation. NTPC asks the first train and other milestones, zones and their headquarters, gauges, and the production units that build locomotives and coaches. The zone table is the single most important table here: a CBT-2 question in 2025 and a CBT-1 question in 2025 both asked a zone headquarters.
