Jharkhand's flagship schemes are built around cash transfer, housing, pension and land-and-water work. The Maiya Samman Yojana for women and the Abua Awas Yojana for housing are the two most asked in exams.

Maiya Samman Yojana
- Monthly cash transfer to eligible women of the stateबार-बार पूछा जाता है
- The amount was raised to Rs 2,500 per month from the earlier Rs 1,000
- Money goes directly to the beneficiary's bank account
- Aimed at improving women's cash control within the household
- It is the single largest welfare commitment in the state budget
Abua Awas Yojana
- A state housing scheme for families who do not have a pucca house
- Provides a three-room pucca house with assistance of about Rs 2 lakh
- Assistance is released in instalments as construction progresses
- It runs alongside the central rural housing scheme rather than replacing it
- Abua means our own in Mundari, the same word as in Birsa's slogan
