Other Minerals
Beyond coal and iron, Jharkhand carries copper in Singhbhum, uranium at Jaduguda, bauxite on the Pat surfaces and mica in Koderma. Several of these give the state a national monopoly or near monopoly.

Copper
- The Singhbhum copper belt is one of India's oldest worked copper zones

Uranium and mica

Bauxite and the rest
- Bauxite comes from laterite on the high Pat surfaces of Lohardaga, Gumla and Latehar
- It is the ore of aluminium and feeds smelters outside the state
- Kyanite from Lapsa Buru is used in refractory bricks
- Limestone and dolomite support cement plants and steel making
- Pyrite is another mineral for which Jharkhand is the leading source
