State Symbols of Jharkhand
Jharkhand's official symbols are the elephant, the koel, the sal tree and the palash flower. The state emblem in use today was adopted on 15 August 2020 and replaced the original 2000 emblem, which is exactly where most candidates lose the mark.

The state emblem

- Outer ring — elephants on green, for strength and forest wealth

- Centre — the Lion Capital of Ashoka with Satyameva Jayate
- The 2000-2020 emblem had the Ashoka Chakra ringed by four stylised letter 'J' shapes
